Cotton Pickin' Route:
Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic journey which begins at the Somerville First Baptist Church and weaves through the quaint roads of historic Somerville, TN. The route winds through Somerville City Cemetery, circa 1829, where monuments adorn the resting places of local legends and pre-civil war ancestors. Event participants will experience inclines and declines.
The run/walk culminates in an awards ceremony on the grounds of the historic Somerville Court House. On the court square, participants will enjoy the Cotton Festival & Bank of Fayette County Music Fest offering family friendly events including music, games, food, the Corvette Memphis Charity Show and Shine Car Show, heritage demonstrations, folk art, crafts, and much more.
